Dragon Ball Z Kakarot
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a semi-open-world action RPG that offers the most detailed retelling of the Dragon Ball Z anime to date. Developed by CyberConnect2, the game moves away from traditional arena fighters to focus on a narrative-driven experience where you “live” the life of Goku (Kakarot). You play through the four core sagas—Saiyan, Frieza, Cell, and Buu—while engaging in activities like fishing (with a tail!), flight, hunting, and training to raise your power level. The game features massive, destructible environments and iconic boss battles that mirror the scale of the show. Beyond Goku, you can also take control of characters like Gohan, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Future Trunks, while others like Krillin and Yamcha serve as tactical support in battle. As of 2026, the game has expanded significantly via three Season Passes, covering everything from the 23rd World Tournament and the story of Bardock to the newly released Dragon Ball Daima adventures.
