Mafia The Old Country
Released on August 8, 2025, Mafia The Old Country is a gritty prequel that explores the origins of organized crime in early 1900s Sicily. You play as Enzo Favara, a young man who survives a brutal childhood of indentured labor in the sulfur mines of San Celeste before being pulled into the orbit of the Torrisi crime family. Shifting away from the open-world structure of Mafia III, this entry returns to a linear, narrative-driven format similar to the first two games. The gameplay features visceral, era-authentic combat including knife-based melee, horseback pursuits, and stealth mechanics, all set against the stunning but dangerous Mediterranean backdrop. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, it delivers a cinematic “mob movie” experience that focuses heavily on the themes of loyalty, family, and the ruthless codes of the Sicilian underworld.
