The 2023 remake of Resident Evil 4 is a complete ground-up reimagining of the 2005 survival horror classic. You play as Leon S. Kennedy, a survivor of the Raccoon City incident turned elite government agent, who is sent to a remote European village to rescue the U.S. President’s kidnapped daughter, Ashley Graham. The game replaces the original’s static scenes with a tensed, horror-focused atmosphere built on the RE Engine, featuring modernized over-the-shoulder combat, a new knife-parry mechanic, and expanded character depth.
