The Sims 4
As of February 2026, The Sims 4 continues its reign as the premier life simulation game, now operating as a free-to-play platform. The base game is completely free on all consoles and PC, supported by a massive library of over 75 DLC packs. The most significant news this month is the release of the Royalty & Legacy Expansion Pack (February 12, 2026), which introduces the world of Ondarion. This pack allows players to build multi-generational dynasties, attend grand balls, and climb the social ladder through the new Nobility system. Alongside this, a major February base game update overhauled stair customization (adding flared and curved designs) and expanded family tree features with new relationship labels like “Great-Grandparent” and “Son-in-Law.”
