Assassin’s Creed Mirage serves as a nostalgic tribute to the roots of the franchise, shifting away from the massive RPG scope of recent entries to deliver a more condensed, stealth-oriented experience. Set in 9th-century Baghdad during its Golden Age, you play as Basim Ibn Ishaq, a street thief who evolves into a Master Assassin under the guidance of the Hidden Ones. The gameplay emphasizes fluid parkour through dense urban environments, “Black Box” assassination missions that encourage player creativity, and a return to tactical social stealth. Recently, the game expanded with the free “Valley of Memory” update, which added the stunning AlUla region and over six hours of new story content exploring Basim’s mysterious past.
