Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a massive action-RPG that puts you in the boots of Eivor, a legendary Viking raider. Set during the 9th-century Norse invasion of England, the game focuses on leading your clan from the harsh shores of Norway to build a new home in the fractured Anglo-Saxon kingdoms. Unlike the more linear older titles, Valhalla centers on your growing settlement, Ravensthorpe, which you expand through visceral raids on monasteries and fortresses. The gameplay blends brutal combat—featuring dual-wielding for almost any weapon combination—with deep political alliance-building and mystical journeys into Norse mythology. By early 2026, the game is considered a “complete” experience, including massive expansions like Dawn of Ragnarök, which transforms Eivor into the god Odin to battle through the realm of Svartalfheim.
