Nioh 3
Released on February 6, 2026, Nioh 3 is the ambitious evolution of Team Ninja’s dark fantasy series, shifting from a mission-based structure to a vast “open-field” design. Set during the Bakumatsu period (the final years of the Tokugawa shogunate), the game features a unique time-traveling narrative that takes you through the Heian, Sengoku, and Edo eras. The core innovation is the Style Switching mechanic, allowing you to shift mid-combat between a defensive, powerful Samurai style and a fast-paced, evasive Ninja style. With 17 weapon types and a refined character creator, the game blends the punishing difficulty of a Soulslike with the deep loot systems of an ARPG. It also introduces Expeditions, an enhanced online co-op mode specifically designed for exploring the new, larger environments with up to two friends.
