Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Core

Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core is a 1–4 player cooperative first-person shooter action roguelite developed by Ghost Ship Games. Acting as a spin-off to the original hit title, Rogue Core launched into Steam Early Access on May 20, 2026. The narrative centers around a mysterious blackout event known as “The Greyout,” which suddenly cuts off communication with Deep Rock Galactic’s deepest, covert mining operations on the planet Hoxxes IV. Players step into the boots of the “Reclaimers”—an elite dwarven corporate security force deployed to breach the barrier drones, eliminate a terrifying new subterranean faction called the Corespawn, and recover lost dig sites.

The defining twist separating Rogue Core from its predecessor is its drop-in roguelite loop. Instead of entering a mission with a fully customized end-game build, players drop into abandoned facilities with basic equipment. As the team fights through procedurally generated cave systems, they must mine a glowing green mineral called Expenite to fund dynamic mid-mission upgrade negotiations, unlock randomized perk drafts, and uncover heavy weaponry. The game features five playable classes—Guardian, Spotter, Falconer, Slicer, and Retcon. Missions operate under intense time pressure where difficulty continuously scales until the dwarven squad can successfully power up the freight elevator to push deeper into the facility.

PC System Requirements

Rogue Core utilizes Unreal Engine 5 to deliver fully destructible environments, intricate physics rendering, and dense enemy swarms, resulting in a heavier performance footprint than the original Deep Rock Galactic.
