Ninja Gaiden 4
Released on October 21, 2025, Ninja Gaiden 4 is the long-awaited return of the premier high-speed action series, co-developed by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames. Set in a near-future Tokyo plagued by a dark curse, the game introduces a new protagonist, Yakumo, a member of the Raven Clan. In a dramatic shift for the series, Yakumo’s journey eventually puts him on a collision course with the legendary Ryu Hayabusa, who acts as both a rival and a playable character. The combat remains brutally fast, running on PlatinumGames’ proprietary engine to support up to 120 FPS, and features the signature “Obliterate” finishers alongside a new “Raven Form” for Yakumo.
The Two Masters DLC
Just this week, on March 4, 2026, the game received its first major expansion, “The Two Masters.” This DLC adds:
- Three New Chapters: A story epilogue set in a sun-drenched Tokyo after the main campaign.
- New Weapons: The “Solitaire” scythe for Yakumo (perfect for crowd control) and the “Jakotsumon” serpent gauntlets for Ryu (focusing on rapid, close-range strikes).
- Abyssal Road: A grueling 100-wave endurance mode designed for veteran players.
