MOUSE: P.I. For Hire
Released just over two weeks ago on April 16, 2026, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is a standout first-person shooter from Fumi Games. It has taken the internet by storm with its incredible “rubber hose” animation style, meticulously hand-drawn to look like a 1930s cartoon. You play as Jack Pepper (voiced by Troy Baker), a hardboiled mouse detective navigating the corrupt, noir-inspired city of Mouseburg. The gameplay is a high-energy mix of BioShock and 2016’s DOOM, featuring fast-paced movement, wall-running, and absurdly violent slapstick combat—including “The James Gun” (a Tommy gun) and “The Devarnisher,” which melts the ink off your enemies’ bones.
PC System Requirements
The game utilizes the Unity engine and is well-optimized, even including a “Cleaner” visual mode that strips away the 8mm film grain for better performance.
